ABOUT EPTA AMERICA

Established in 2012, Epta America LLC is the North American partner of Chipita S.A.—a worldwide leader in baked snacks. Epta America aims to conduct business with utmost regard for consumers in the U.S. and Canada by introducing new and exciting snack lines made from ingredients of the highest caliber.

OUR CHAIRMAN: JIM BURNS

From 1982 to December 1989, Jim was a founder, owner, and officer of Bagel Crisps, Inc. Bagel Crisps grew quickly until it encompassed three factories in Paterson, NJ employing more than 400 people with over 25 products and sales of more than $15 million per year in 20 countries around the world. In April 1990, Bagel Crisps was sold and restructured to become Burns & Ricker, Inc. where Jim remained on as Vice President and spearheaded New Product Development. In 2001 he started Deli Stars which originated the “peel-and-serve” deli tray packed using modified atmosphere. From 2005 to 2012 he was VP of Acquisitions and the head of New Product Development for Nonnis Foods. Jim now oversees the operations of EPTA America and continues to be active in new product development for Chipita.
